The Dark Elves, or the Druchii as they call themselves in their own tongue, also known as the Nagarrothi or the "Dark Ones", are one of the most ancient, powerful, and certainly the most sadistic of the three Elven civilisations.

In the bleak, chilly lands of Naggaroth lies the Dark Elven kingdoms of the Witch King Malekith, a realm born from the depths of malice and hate, a kingdom that seeks nothing more than to despoil a world its people believe loathes their existence. With malevolent eyes, the Dark Elves watch this dying world, knowing it is their birthright to rule all that they survey and those that live upon it are born to do nothing more than to grovel at their feet.

Cold and Beautiful 

The Dark Elves, not so unlike their High Elven brethren, possess a cold if not glamorous beauty which only helps to hide the corruption and vileness which lurks beneath their skin. All Elves are beautiful, but such beauty is different between the three peoples. standing from 6 ft to 7 ft tall with a tall slender figure they have more of a greyish tinge to their skins than their high elf counter parts  eyes of a dark purple and hair of darkest black.

A Timeless Perspective

Dark Elves are essentially immortal living longer than almost all other mortal races like their counter parts they often only die in battle or due to assassination this gives them a long time to get the slaves that run their economy as well as being stuck in an eternal war against the high elves  

For the Dark Elves, all of the world's bounty is theirs to do with as they wish -- provided that they have the strength to claim it. They have turned aside the benevolent gods of their pantheon, flocking instead to the worship of their more capricious and cruel deities, in particular Khaine, Lord of Murder. It is a match well made, for the Dark Elves care nothing for the sanctity of life and consider the lesser races to be nothing more than insects begging to be ground beneath a boot heel if no more productive or entertaining use can be found for them..

A Cruel Realm

Naggaroth, the Land of Chill, is a bleak and forbidding continent that is as unforgiving as the Dark Elves who have it their home. Its northern plains are barren and windswept expanses, broken only by jutting outcrops of rock and magic-stained rivers, their waters sluggish and black, crisscross the ice fields, carving elaborate canyons and deep ravines in the frozen ground. Further south, the thin soil is more fertile, allowing sparse pine forests to grow. Here, the Dark Elves have huge plantations to feed the cities by slaves who labour until they drop dead, their bodies left to nourish the barren soil

Exploitation and slavery 

Dark Elves exploit the weak and enslave all they can most worship the chaos god of pleasure Slanesh however some still worship the Elven god of war Khaine and seek blood and glory as oppose to pleasure and pain however many embrace both 

Malicious and vindictive  

Dark elves see everyone as less than them the only ones they see as equals are other dark elves vampires are seen as nothing more than the reanimated with parlor tricks, the tomb kings are seen as an annoyance that only serve the purpose of robbing the tombs and getting rich, and ogres are seen as useless hulks seen as useful for nothing more than strong slave labour
