Homebrew Centrago Species Details

The centrago did not exist prior to the Severing.  It is unknown whether they came to Aer’ath from a different plane or whether they were created by the High Lords as so many others.

The centrago are a large quadripedal people. The lower half is that of a large ram, while the upper half is the torso of a humanoid. The head of a Centrago looks very similar to a human, but they have curved horns reminiscent of their ram-like lower half.

The centrago are rarely seen because they live in scattered and rather isolated regions of the Shiv Katham mountains.  On occasion, they will travel to Nynthe trade, while those in the eastern ranges engage with the people of the Geire plateau. Since the invasions of the Thar, the Centrago of the western ranges have become exceedingly militant.

Though outsiders consider the Centrago to be primitive beasts, they live in large, developed settlements in the mountain valleys. The Centrago tribes are led by a chief, who is advised by a council of elders. They tend to be a very egalitarian people. Decisions are made by a consensus, and when matters of critical concern are at issue, they form an assembly. These assemblies can be loud and raucous, and can sometimes break into actual fights. On the other hand, once is a decision is made by an assembly, the entire tribe follows it without question.

Given that they tend to share their lands, with Nier and dwarves, conflict is not uncommon.

Those who are foolish enough to think they can mount a centrago quickly learn the error of such thought.
