Homebrew Celestial Species Details
Celestials are simple people with the grace and beauty of hundreds of years, living in the world but still apart from it. They live in all over, but stay hidden and away from most people, watching from a distance instead of joining the crowd. They love science, magic and machinery, delving into whatever thing they are curious for and clinging to it.
Stellar Beauty
You know you have found a Celestial the moment you meet them. They appear to be strikingly beautiful, with the pure black eyes with little white speckles in them that look like stars from distant galaxies. They are about the same height as most humans, anywhere from 5' to 6'5". They are about the same build as humans, weighing between 120-180 pounds. Males tend to be more heavier than females.
Celestials can have the same hair and skin colours as humans, including body and facial hair. If they so choose, they can wear colored contacts to try and pass of for a human, but they're difficult to wear for long periods of time. They tend to wear more simple clothes to blend in with society, trying not to be noticed.
An Old Way Of Things
Celestials can live up to 1,000 years, giving them a broad perspective on events that might trouble the shorter-lived races more deeply. They are similar to humans in the respect that they have a wide range of emotions, but the majority tend to be aloof and watch the worlds around them with curious eyes. When on a mission they tend to be extremely focused and unrelenting until it is complete. Most make friends easily, but they try not to get too attached because they know they will never get to live as long as their companions. Due to this they mostly like to work along or with their own kind, but there is the exception for the few who likes to break the boundaries, but are often found to have much pain and sadness in their lives at the loss of old friends.
They adapt easily to danger, with most of them turning to diplomacy rather then violence. They have been known to wait things out, given they have the time, and play a more passive role than an active one. When the need arises, they are trained in almost all kinds of weaponry, and are very deadly at that.
Trust Issues
The reason for their unique eyes is from old ancestors who have said to be made up of space itself. Whether it is true remains unknown, but what is known is that they were highly magical creatures. Over time people sought to steal their power from them so they went into hiding, blending in with society as best as they could to avoid being killed for their magic. Over the years their magic dwindled until the only thing from their ancestors that remained where the eyes. It is also due to their history that they tend not to trust most people, living as hermits in the shadows while very few made themselves known to the worlds. Most people know that the Celestials don't hold the power they used to, but that doesn't mean they're not very trusting of others. They tend not to trust people very readily, for fear of the old ways.
Celestials that remain hidden tend to be hermits, artificers, sages, and very wise beyond their years. Those who make themselves known tend to follow whatever life calls to them, but not without caution.
Wanderlust
For those who do go out and adventure, they tend to jump in head first and let the rest take it's course. While they are wise people, they still love adventure and are willing to do anything to change the old way of life that was hiding in the shadows for something new. Some will join a crew and travel the galaxy, while others will live a normal life among the other races. They go out into the worlds due to wanderlust and pure curiosity.
Celestial Names
Celestials are concidered children until the age of 200, aging very slowly compared to most races.
There is little distinction between male and female names, but they tend not to have family names. They are only given one name from birth and they are stuck with it till the end of their lives, keeping it in their native tongue unless asked by an outsider. Then they will translate it into Common for them.

Celestials love knowledge and widsom, so they end to lean more neutral the most. They value the power that knowledge can bring, but also keeping it in balance and not letting it fall into the hands of someone who will abuse it.

Celestials range from 5 to over 6 and a half feet tall and have average builds. Your size is Medium.

Accustomed to darkness of space and the worlds you've been on, you can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
