Homebrew Auregian Species Details

The Auregians first evolved in the chilly forests of Aurey (Sahiba IV). Earlier in their evolutionary history, they split into two subspecies: Chibanians, the more reptilian group that prefer Western-style stratifications; and Xiharans, the more furred group with a tendency for social equality. 

Auregian Biology

Auregians, regardless of subspecies, have most of the same anatomy: bipedal, reptilian, with normal organs. Auregians are born in various colors - red, blue, orange, black, to name a few; usually, these colors are passed by the mother. In past Chibanian society, the color determined your lifestyle; blue dragons were considered slaves, golden ones as nobility, etc. Now, it is not a case. 

Auregian Society and Language (work in progress!)

Auregians prize honor above all things. To any native Xiharan and Chibanian alike, the advancement of personal honor is the first and foremost thing on their "Bucket List of Life". In ancient times, duels between aristocrats and beggars alike were common, and people were oftentimes killed in "trial by combat". More recently, however, the Democratic Union of Xihara and Chibania (the government, usually called "the Union") has outlawed this, saying (essentially) "Killing for honor is not honorable to Auregian life". 

Xiharu and Chiban are the two main languages, spoken by Xiharans and Chibanians respectively. As of the past 100 years, intellectuals and commoners started to mix the two, calling the language "Ucotux" ("medley" in Xiharu and "hybrid" in Chiban, one of the few words the two have in common).

Auregian Traits

The Auregians were born as draconic creatures in the heart of Aurey, but have since sought their sights to the stars.

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Age

Young Auregians mature fairly quickly. They walk days after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old Human by the age of 5, and fully mature by 13 (the reason why Auregians seem so young and attractive is because they are). They live to be around 120, due to genetic therapy. 

Alignment

Auregians tend to be more lawful, due to their high emphasis on personal honor.

Size

Auregians are taller and heavier than your average Human, weighing in at roughly 260 lb (Aurey has 2 times more gravity than Earth), and can reach heights in the 7-8 ft range.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 35 feet.

Language

You can speak, read, and write both Human English and the language of your subspecies (Xiharu for Xiharans; Chiban for Chibanians). 

Xiharu is more like Mandarin Chinese, while Chiban is akin to a draconic-esque hodgepodge of Old English, Draconic (canon D&D), and Germanic.
