Homebrew Bonsai Dryad Species Details
They appeared to be beautiful women with delicate features seemingly made of soft wood. Their hair seemed to be made of leaves and foliage that changed color with the seasons of the calendar. During the spring and summer months, the hair of a dryad was lush and the same color as their trees even having flower if their tree has flowers, while during autumn it turned red, yellow, orange, and eventually losing their hair in winter.
Bonsai Dryads normally live in the gardens of other races. This normally makes them the prize of those who owns the Bonsai. They lived with respect to nature and normally care for the garden they live in. As long they are treated well they bond with those around them.
Bonsai Dryads were generally protect her garden, and attempted to warn off intruders. Only those who were particularly cruel and determined to destroy a dryad's garden see the full wrath of these fey.
All Bonsai Dryads are magically bound to a single bonsai tree. These trees served as the dryad's life force and home. They fought to the death to protect their bonded tree, as should the tree be destroyed, the dryad died soon afterward. A dryad could not stray too far from her bonded tree without suffering the same fate. If a dryad left the vicinity of her tree for too long, she died.

Age
Although Bonsai Dryads reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the Bonsai Dryad emotional and mental maturing is slower. An Bonsai Dryad typically reach emotional and mental maturity about 200 and can live to be 800 years old.
Alignment
Bonsai Dryads are shaped a lot by the owners of the gardens they live in. As such these little dryads lean more to Neutral.
Size
Bonsai Dryad are shorter then the common Dryad. While the common Dryad is about the size of a human a Bonsai Dryad stand between 3 ft. to 4 ft. tall.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Darkvision
Accustomed to shady garden and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Hiding
You have proficiency in the Stealth skill.
Fey Blood
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Fey Legacy
The dryad's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). The dryad can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.
You know the druidcraft cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the entangle spell as a 1st-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the barkskin spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 7th level, you can cast the pass without trace spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Rooted
When Bonsai Dryad have access to soil the Bonsai Dryad send out roots to refresh herself. The Bonsai Dryad goes into a meditation like trance for four hours, this replaces sleep, the need to eat, and drink for the day. If the Bonsai Dryad does not have access to soil or in an area with poor soil the Bonsai Dryad will need to sleep, eat, and drink like a human.
Tree Stride
When Bonsai Dryad turn level 10 once on her turn, the dryad can use 10 ft. of her movement to step magically into one living tree within her reach and emerge from a second living tree within 60 ft. of the first tree, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 ft. of the second tree. Both trees must be large or bigger. Since the the there tree is a Bonsai they can not use their tree.
Transport
Since Bonsai Dryad are born from a Bonsai they can carry the Bonsai around giving them more mobility then the common Dryad.
