Homebrew Anthousai Species Details
The Anthousai are a species of ancient plants that have evolved over time into a humanoid shape after gaining sentience. They look a lot like humans, but are made out of plant matter, their skin color being a shade of green, a shade of blue or a soft pink. Their hair is a collection of flowers or one massive flower. Some might have extra prehensile tentacle plant limbs. They come from the lively forests of Laenda and are very close to the wildlife and to Gai. Usually thought to be peaceful and calm, but they’re capable of extreme violence to uphold their lifestyle. They’re not seen very often outside of forests, but some have become very accustomed to life in regions that would be considered very difficult to live in.

The Anthousai live considerably longer than the average human lifespan, stretching as far as 300 years.

Anthousai live generally peaceful lives connected to nature but summon chaotic energy internally when their livelihood is threatened. They will resort to extreme violence to preserve their land.
Size
The Anthousai are about the same size as humans and grow to be between 4 to 6 feet in height. You are Medium sized.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Verdant Mind
You are deeply connected to the nature that surrounds you and can freely communicate with plants and animals. They understand you and you can understand basic concepts and ideas from them. You gain proficiencies in Animal Handling and Nature.
Extra Limbs
You are capable of controlling parts of the vines and plant matter that comprise your being and gather them into the form of prehensile limbs. You can choose to have them take either the shape of two extra arms or a maximum of ten tentacles that protrude from your body to assist you in simple tasks or in combat.
Nature's Child
Being that you have evolved from nature you are still deeply connected to it and are capable of communicating with the plants and animals around you. You can understand basic concepts and ideas from them and you are capable of speaking with them and giving them simple commands.
