Homebrew Dark Tabaxi Species Details

Dark Tabaxis are cat-like folk. They are much like their Tabaxi cousins, although they have more of an openness to the darker side of the world and planes. 

Dark Tabaxis are more aggressive than their cousins and usually have more of a connection to darker beings and patrons. 

Dark Tabaxis are rare and only a few have this darker connection, usually meaning they are ostracised by their communities. 

They usually succumb to accepting a darker passage of life, not fitting in with their fellow Tabaxis. 

Dark Tabaxi's are much like their cousins in looks and traits, however, the main difference is the way of life they choose to follow. 

Dark Tabaxi Traits

Dark Tabaxi's have similair traits to their cousins, however if they do succumb to darkness, more appear that are very diffferent.

Dark Vision

Ability to see in darkness for 60ft

 

Pounce

When taking the first action in combat, or as a surprise action or from stealth, pounce 10ft on-top of an enemy.
If the enemy is the same size or smaller, they make a Dex save or become prone.
You do 4D6 slashing damage with your claws and jump back 10ft without incurring opportunity attacks.

This does not count as an action and or movement

Dark wilderness

You gain advantage on all Nature, Survival and Arcana checks

One with the shadows

Gain advantage on all stealth rolls when in cover or hiding. 

Bite

Bite as an action causing 1D6 slashing damage

I am the darkness

Once per long rest, you explode into darkness, summoning hell with you.
Each creature within 10ft of you in smothered by the darkness, causing 3D10 radiant damage.
All creatures must make a CON save or take an extra 1D4 damage as well as being incapacitated for their next turn.

Claws

You can use your claws as un-armed strikes causing 1D6 Slashing damage per claw
