Homebrew Dhampir Species Details
When a vampire attempts to turn a pregnant woman, or when a vampire and a human produce a child, the result is a dhampir: a half human, half vampire creature feared by most ordinary people and even by vampires.
Dhampir Traits
As a dhampir, you inherit some vampiric traits from your undead parent.Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution score increases by 1.
Age
Dhampirs reach adulthood at the same time humans do, but they age much slower after that. No dhampir has died of old age, and they may be immortal.
Alignment
Like humans, dhampirs do not tend toward any particular alignment, but the stigma against them has made many chaotic and may cause others to fall to evil.
Size
Dhampirs vary as much in height and build as humans. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write in Common and one additional language of your choice. Dhampirs often learn and utilize languages like humans do, adding phrases and expressions from learned languages into their speech.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Vampiric Bite
Your fangs are natural weapons for you. If you hit with it, your bite deals piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier.
Vampiric Gaze
You can cast the charm person spell as a 1st-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a short or long rest. You require no verbal or somatic components when casting it with this feature, but the target must be able to see you.
Vampiric Restoration
As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite. If the attack hits, it deals normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points (minimum of 1) equal to your Constitution modifier multiplied by two.
You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain expended uses on a short or long rest.
