Homebrew Dendrocopos Major Species Details

Dendrocopos Major or Great spotted wood pecker is a rather rare bird the inhabits this realm. They can be found only in The Amethyst Forest and some areas of The Dragon's Eye. Unlike many bird species the great spotted wood pecker goes out of it's way to embrace owlish cultures and religions, because of this they are seldom found in the wilderness. Due to their willingness to embrace foreign cultures many wood peckers become historians, religious figures and druids. Because of their scarcity they are not written of in the legends of the great owl.
