Homebrew Abyssalborn Species Details
An Abyssalborn is created when too much abyssal magic is present during the child's early development, before birth.
Abyssalborn look like their parent species at birth, as well as through a portion of their lives. However, upon reaching adulthood their bodies assume their true visage, paper white skin, white eyes with black sclerae and pupils, their ears resemble those of elves and half of each ear is black, and their hair color matches that of their ears.
They seem to have the odd ability to alter any part of themselves to fit what they need. In addition to this, Abyssalborn are deceptively smart and know what using their powers could accomplish.
Abyssalborn are commonly mistaken for changelings because of their trickery, and referred to as "The Absent," due to the fact that, even when seen, they seem to be non-existent, as if a hole in the very fabric of reality stood in their place. The abyssal magic needed to force upon the change is rather large, making it a very rare phenomenon, an Abyssalborn might even not even know that they are one until adulthood.
Abyssalborn Traits
Abyssalborn have the odd ability to warp their bodies in strange ways, from being able to turn an arm into a sword, or a finger into a key and so on, to being able to increase their durability to a degree.Malleable Entity
Weapons created by this ability deal 1d8 Slashing, Piercing, or Bludgeoning damage respective to the weapon created, as well as magical with a +1 to hit and damage.
At 5th level, the damage increases to 2d8, and the additional ability increases to +2.
At 8th level, damage increases to 2d10.
At 13th level, the additional ability increases to +3.
At 15th level, damage increases to 1d10+2d8.
At 20th level, damage increases to 3d10, and the additional ability increases to +5.
Natural AC may also be increased by 1 after completing a long rest. It is impossible to exceed a natural AC of 18 with this ability. If struck during combat, this ability loses its effect and a long rest must be completed as before.
As well as this, you fit through a space of one inch without squeezing, and in non-combat situations have full manipulation of your body and its warping ability at the DM's discretion.
Ability Score Increase
Your ability scores for Charisma, as well as two others of your choice, increase by 2.
Age
Abyssalborn mature similarly to their parent species but can live up to 5,000 years old.
Alignment
Abyssalborn cannot be pinned down to an alignment since they do not feel much inclination to be good or bad. Most stay neutral, but depending on their youth, an Abyssalborn can become deeply lawful good or chaotic evil.
Size
Abyssalborn tend to be the same height as their parent species, usually only being 2 feet taller than max or shorter than min. Regardless of where you are in this range, your size is medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 50 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, Abyssal and one extra language of your choice. Abyssalborn pick up the languages of their families or surroundings relatively quickly but not so much so that it's obvious. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.
Names
Abyssalborn, for the portion of their life in which they appear to be what their parent species is, take on names given to them at birth until adulthood. Upon reaching adulthood, and after they go through their visible changes, an Abyssalborn's true name comes to them in a dream. Despite this, some Abyssalborn take on the name given to them at birth as a surname, they see this as a way of honoring their family.
Adult Abyssalborn names tend to either be pronounced exactly like they're spelled, or nothing like they're spelled, and are neutral in gender.

Abyss Vision
Abyssalborn, as a result of having been exposed to abyssal magic before birth, gain certain sensory abilities to use throughout their lives. You have Tremorsense out to 60 feet.
