Homebrew Avarice Species Details
Avarice is the name given to these monstrous people as reference to the ancient and forsaken god Avarice. Unworldly and eerily similar to the bane of adventures and treasure hunters alike, the Mimic. Horrific, hungry and selfish these creatures are as intelligent and capable as any other among the Forgotten Realms. Homeland of the Avarice is unknown, even if they are of this realm it is a mystery, could they be ancient folk cursed to this bestial form for a past sin, could they be a mad wizards escaped experiments on mimics, or are they are they from a distant star with nefarious plans here, none is clear but none are brave enough to ask either. The people of the Avarice as they are called now are horrid when seen in their true forms tall, lanky, pale monsters with large spanning jaws that they can change along with the rest of its body. Avarice can change there flesh in many ways like a mimic, they cannot take on more human faces or skin only able to make it look and feel like other materials, such as wood, stones or metal.
