Cursed Undead Child Traits
Your childlike undead nature manifests itself in these traits.Skeletal Undead.
Your curse has caused your body to rapidly decay leaving you in a skeletal form. You count as an undead creature for all spells and abilities that affect the undead. You are immune to disease and poison and treat exhaustion as if it was one level less. You are vulnerable to radiant and bludgeoning damage. Instead of sleeping, you enter an inactive state for 4 hours each day. you do not dream in this state; you are fully aware of your surroundings and notice approaching enemies and other events as normal.
Immortality.
You do not age. You do not need to eat or breathe, but you can ingest food and drink if you wish. Given time, the necromantic energies that sustain you will heal most wounds you take at approximately the same rate as a mortal, and your hit dice function as normal. Although you can live potentially forever; you can still die in combat or if the power of immortality has been stripped from you.
Darkvision.
Though you have no eyes, the magic fueling your existence also grants you the ability to see through the darkness. You have darkvision for 60ft.
Past Life.
Choose another race besides this one, which must be humanoid and lack the Living Construct trait (or similar). Before your death, you were a member of this race and appear as an undead version of it. Your size and height are the same as a typical child member of that race. You do not retain special movement speeds from this race (such as swimming or flying) or any of the race’s other racial traits. If your Past Life race has subraces, you can select one, but it confers no benefits.
Bone Pile.
When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. If you do, you reduce yourself to a pile of bones, render yourself prone, and are considered to be under a similar effect to the Feign Death spell. While subject to this condition, you are unable to move or take actions other than using an action to end this effect. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Dead Amongst The Living.
You’ve learned to conceal your curse allowing you to appear in your original form. You gain the Disguise Self spell. You can cast it as a ritual but only to change into your original appearance before your curse.
Skeletal Form.
Your skeletal form grants you access to the following traits:
- You can use an action to rearrange the bones of your body in creative ways such as detaching an arm to grab an object just out of reach or removing your head to peek around corners.
- You can control detached limbs and bones up to 20ft away from you after which they become lifeless until reattached.
- If you a bone you can replace it with another bone of that same type. The new bone magically resizes itself to fit your child like body.
Uncanny Stillness.
You completely still your skeletal body. Make a deception check against a creature’s investigation who is actively inspecting you to attempt to deceive them into thinking you are an inanimate skeleton. Spells such as Detect Magic or other spells with similar effects will alert the caster to your presence.
Childlike Nature.
Even though your mind can age years over your original age, the curse causes you to have spurts of childlike behaviors regardless of how old you become.
Childish Charm.
When speaking to friendly adults you gain advantage on Charisma skill checks.
Gullible.
Regardless of how intelligent and wise you have or will become over your lifetime. Your childlike nature causes you to be gullible to your party members. Party members gain advantage on deception checks against you.
Unwavering Curiosity.
When something spikes your interest you are unable to stop thinking about for 1d4 hours or until you investigate it.
Empathetic.
When you see a friendly creature experience an extreme end of any emotion you can't help but feel empathetic.
