Moth-People?

 

Actias are a strange race of moth-people, with large delicate wings and a strange knack for spell-casting, colors an range from dingy brown to vibrant purples and blues, with the color and shape of their wings sorting them into a social hierarchy.

 

Odd Mannerisms

Actias tend to appear strange and un-natural to people who havent seen them before, exiled on an island millennia ago, evolution has toyed with their mannerisms, causing them to use spells for what seem like simple tasks, and take on huge responsibilities without thinking, if an Actias is asked to play a role they werent assigned at birth many get excited at the opportunity, where others will stay with the older ways and refuse.

 

Homeland

All Actias come from one long forgotten island, a hive mind of sorted social order assigned at birth. Actias who rebel against the social calss they are assigned are either exiled or killed for their crimes, this causes many Actias to be very good at lying low and keeping secrets. The life of an Actas on their main island may concist of being crowned roalty, or slaving with magic, or many other roles assigned at birth.

As An Actas, you have echolocation, it acts as dark vision up to 100 feet unless deafened, If you are deafened, your normal vision cuts down to a range of 50 feet.

Age

Actias are born as large caterpillars, after cocooning around the age of 11, they emerge 2 years later as a fully grown actian, this is when assignment of roles and maturity occurs

You have a flying speed of 50 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.
