Homebrew Black Eyes Species Details

A race of half Demon. This race is shrouded in mystery with countless tellings of these creatures stealing souls or performing other demonic deads. While in truth they have demonic origins they also have fey in their blood, granting them a somewhat odd and slightly magical nature. These humanoids have a very similar body structure to elves but with dull gray or black tinted skin, their eyes dark as the night and when in bright daylight seem even then to have a constant, if dim, shadow eclipsing their form.

These creatures are rarely seen amongst any population and they form no communities of their own as the few that do exist tend to stay away from society and remain alone whether on the material realm, endless abyss, or wandering the feywild. 

They are considered fiend for ancestry

They have darkvision for 60 feet

You can speak, read, write in common, abyssal, and your choice of one more language

Black eye's can live up to 200 years old and mature around 30 years

black eyes tend to be dexterous but are most well noted for their ability to drain the life of another living being

Demon Blood

Due to your demon blood, you gain resistance to necrotic damage and are vulnerable to radiant damage

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength increases by 1 and your Dexterity increases by 2

Darkvison

Thanks to your demonic blood you have dark vision. You can see for 60 ft in dim light as if it were bright light and darkness as if it was dim light. You can't discern colours in darkness only shades of grey

Soul Drain

Once per long rest you have the ability to spend your action to make a touch attack (that you are proficient in) against another living creature. The target will make a Constitution saving throw against with a DC of 10 + half your level if they fail then you deal half your proficiency modifier of d6's in necrotic damage, if they succeed then they take half damage. You then heal the number of hitpoints equal to the amount of damage that Soul Drain delt up to your maximum health or if you are at maximum health you gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage Soul Drain delt.
