Homebrew Boogeyman Species Details

The boogeyman sleeps on your side of the bed
Whispers in my ear :"Better off Dead"
Fills my dreams with sirens and lights of regret
Kisses me gently when I wake up in a sweat
"boo!"-Valeria Casmaer, citizen of Waterdeep

Fear Incarnate

The Boogeyman. We've all heard about him, most of us have been threatened by our parents that if we didn't behave he'd come to get us, and an unfortunate few, have seen him. The shadow in the corner of the room as you sleep. Did it move, no? It couldn't have moved, it's just a shadow. Why can't I move? That shadow is definitely moving. As you lay in bed, motionless, panicking, as a looming animated shadow creeps closer out of the corner. You close your eyes and hope, and pray, and panic, and cry. Then you open your eyes, and all is normal. It's gone, but you are not going to forget this.

Healing Feed

We all know what the boogeyman does- feed on the bedridden; But why? Many believe the boogeymen obtain strength from the fear, others believe they just like the taste of human flesh. Whatever the reason is, the boogeyman has incredible stealth and can sit in the shadows, completely still, for hours. Though it has many monsterlike characteristics the boogeyman (especially after feeding) displays emotion and regret. They are far more intelligent than humans and elves.
