Homebrew Beholder born (redone) Species Details

The unholy mix between a black mage and a beholder, maybe through a wish spell or something, it is truly unknown how it came to be.

Other members of this race are beholders who were stricken by a magic weapon, took a potion, or simply became it out of their own desire.

Beholder born can be male or female and are usually 5 to 6 feet tall, they have one eye-stalk to start with and grow more the more powerful they get.

Beholder born look humanoid however they have 1 giant eye on their face.

Beholder born usually never look the same as they can range from any color size shape and their appearance usually has a large variety.

Beholder born do have human shaped bodies however. They can float on command, have eye-stalks that shoot beams of magic and even have an antimagic eye. 

These monsters are not allowed in most cities as they are seen as a disaster waiting to happen. 

Most beholder born have an evil alignment while only few are good or neutral.

Anti magic eye

The beholder born has a 30 ft cone gaze that acts as an anti magic field spell. This works against it's eye rays, it chooses where it faces at the beginning of it's turn. This is always active if the user decides for it to be.

Eye ray

Beginning at level 1 the beholder born gets 1 eye-stalk. this eye-stalk gets an eye ray of your choice from the below list, using this ray on your turn is a bonus action. You gain more eye-stalks at levels 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 , and 19.

Dc for these rays are 10 plus proficiency plus your spell casting modifier. You may chose each one a max of 2 times.
