Cactus Folk generally live in the dry deserts where humans seldom dare go to, getting their namesake from the very plant they came from, they are a hardy race that can survive even the toughest of conditions. Plant Physiology
The Cacti folk breathe and eat, but do not sleep, unless they want to gain some beneficial effect from this activity. This means that a plant creature can sleep in order to regain spells, but sleep is not required to survive or stay in good health. Furthermore, their environmental upbringig gives them a resistant to high heat temperatures. Their plant-like cells can catch on fire easily, giving this race a vulnerability to fire.
Spiny Ally
The Cacti folk can retract spines at will to not hurt people, otherwise they will do 1d4 piercing damage upon rough contact towards their skin.
If grappled or grappling, the opponent must make a dexterity saving throw; DC equals 8 + proficiency bonus + Constitution modifier; if failed opponent takes 1d4+3 piercing for every turn he is grappling or being grappled and if grappled, cactus has advantage on strength check against grappler.
Basic unarmed strikes deal 1d4+3 piercing damage.
Arcane Sprouting
After every long rest you sprout prickly pears equal to your Constitution modifier, and can be given to self or allies with a bonus action to heal them an amount equal to 1d4+ your Constitution modifier, if ally is paralyzed or poisoned you can do a Medicine check (DC 15) in order to heal them, if check is failed ally will suffer 1d4 poison damage for the first failure and will scale accordingly for each failure after that by + 1d6, the fruit will spoil after 3 days.

The Cacti folk can range anywhere from 100 to 200 years, aging slower than humans.
