Homebrew Arachkin Species Details
“The adventures entered the cave without an inkling of what may lay inside. Within seconds, a small group of spider-like people surrounded them. The adventurer’s spell caster cast fly on herself and floated up to the ceiling of the cave. That didn’t stop them”
- Tome on Cave-Dwelling Creatures
Arachkin are spider-like humanoids thriving in caves and caverns. They are smaller than most humanoids, but they’re ability to climb walls and never be unarmed allows them to be able to survive quite well in dark, rocky environments.
Spider Climb
The Arachkin can climb walls using they’re inherent spider powers and have a climbing speed equal to their walking speed.
Unarmed Attack
Arachkin have two methods with which they can attack while unarmed: biting or attacking with their claws. Arachkin claws deal 1d4 slashing damage and biting deals 1d4 piercing. If the attack is a critical hit, the opponent takes an additional 1d6 poison damage and is poisoned for 1 hour.
Cave Vision
Arachkin have eight eyes and are adapted to the dark. They have advantage on perception checks while in caves or the dark, but suffer disadvantage on perception checks while in bright light, such as a well-light room or outside from 8am to 7pm.
