An angelic race of people said to dwell in a floating kingdom above the clouds. They are a proud race with very high affinity to mana. When using high tier spell a set of wings made of mana generate from their body. There are clans within the Azul that specialize in different summon magic

Proud and Analytical

With their unique marking features, Azul appear strangely savage to humans and members of many other races. They are slightly shorter than humans on average, ranging from well under 4 feet tall to just over 5 feet. They are more slender than humans, weighing only 100 to 150 pounds. Males and females are about the same height, and males are only marginally heavier than females.

Azul's coloration encompasses the normal human range and also includes skin in shades of copper, bronze, and almost bluish-white, hair of light brown or orange, and eyes like pools of liquid gold or azure. They favor clothing in bright colors embedded with runes.

A Timeless Perspective

Azurian can live well over 800 years, giving them a broad perspective on events that might trouble the shorter-lived races more deeply. They are more often logical than tempered, and more likely to observe than take action. They tend to remain aloof and unfazed by petty happenstance. When pursuing a goal, however, whether adventuring on a mission or learning a new skill or art, Azurian can be overconfident. They are quick to make friends and enemies, and yet slower to forget them. They reply to petty insults with quick witted comments. 

Like the difference of a cloud, Azurian are unwavering in the face of danger. They trust in the elements and observations to resolve differences to avoid violence. They are known to depart from the sky every twenty years. Their kingdom above the clouds keeps most invaders away.  Azurian are mostly pacifists who conduct research.  But when the need arises, Azurian reveal a cold logical side, demonstrating skill with sword, spells, and strategy.

Hidden Sky Realms

Most Azurian dwell in small villages hidden among the cloud isles. Azurian gather food, and grow vegetables, and their skill and magic allow them to support themselves without the need for clearing and plowing land. They are talented artisans, crafting finely worked clothes and magical items.  Their contact with outsiders is usually limited, though a few Azurian have ventured to the surface for research and study. 

Azurian encountered outside their own lands are commonly traveling court mages, explorers, or sages.  Most are not well known as Azurian try not to stand out. 

Exploration and Adventure

Azurian take up adventuring out of wanderlust. Since they are so long-lived, they can enjoy centuries of exploration and discovery. They tend to place themselves in jobs that allow them to gain more knowledge.  Azurian also enjoy gaining greater magical power, and adventuring allows them to do so.  Many of them join academies to further develop the use of magic arts.

Ceremony of Spirit

Azurian are considered children until they come of age to attend a special ceremony, some time after the fiftieth birthday, a spirit chooses to bond with them.  This ceremony marks adulthood.  Each child is chosen by a spirit to determine the many paths they can follow.

Although Azurian reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the azurian understanding of adulthood is similar to that of an Elf. An Azurian typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 50 and can live to be 800 years old.

Azurian love knowledge over anything else yet will try to avoid violence.  This usually aligns them as neutral good.  Their pursue of knowledge can often view them as cold-hearted since it is always the way.

Azurian range from under 5 to slightly 6 feet tall and have avarage or slender builds. Your size is Medium.

Darkvision

Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
