Homebrew Chungus Species Details

"That'll hold him all right."

The fat little ranger cackled, eyes locked on the space before him. At his feet, a few boards stuck nailed to the grass, covering the Chungus' hole. Eyes glinting from behind his pudgy pink nose, he shuffled away with the gait of a tiny dog dragged by a leash.

For a moment, silence reigned.

Then, his footsteps like the notes on a piano, the Chungus emerged from the hole, the ranger's boards shattering with a noise like a gunshot. Six lanky feet of grey fur and floppy ears slouched triumphant in the sunlight. Slowly, the Chungus swiveled his head...and grew. He swelled up like a bucktoothed balloon, mocking the ranger's flabby build, bigger than the hole, bigger than the trees. His eyes locked ahead.

"That'll hold him all right," he said. "Heh heh heh heh heh."
