Homebrew Desert Hag Species Details
Want to know a dark secret? Ask a hag. The trick lies in getting truth out of her.
Desert Hags resemble sun-baked crones with skin that closely resembles thick leather. They possess wicked, blood-shot eyes, and a hunched, knotted posture and short ram-like horns. Desert Hags tend to large swaths of arid desert where they live a pseudo-nomadic life style traveling from oasis to oasis. The extremes of the desert leave many travelers and adventures at the mercy the Desert Hags, seeking any information out of arid wastelands. Occasionally, lords and merchants seeking impossible solutions will come to Desert Hags for their wisdom born from the mind-altering effects of the desert’s heat. Like all Hags, Desert Hags delight in deal-making and manipulation. Desert Hags particularly enjoy taking advantage of physical discomfort be it heat-stroke, thirst, or illness.
