Homebrew Aquanic Species Details

This race of beings tends to prefer aquatic areas. They can be found outside of aquatic lands but will usually not venture into anywhere to warm as they will pass out. They tend to appear as Fish people, having scaly bodies and gills. Their gills aren't typically used for breathing but can be if needed. This race tends to have a strong moral compass and will do the right thing for their people. That being said they can be a bit over the top and chaotic. 

  When the first one wandered outside of the pond the world was a vast and scary place. Climbing wasn't a strong suit of theirs and walking was a bit odd at first. With evolution, they have improved their walking abilities but have never really gotten the hang of climbing. For the most part, these types like to stay closer to the north. Heat is a definite weakness and requires them to drink a lot of water. They were hunted for a while and as such have a particularly bad relation with lizardfolk or those who eat fish. They have a tendency towards being vegetarians or vegans but are accepting of others. 

In their rising, most of the people followed a very earth-based religion. They believe that the earth gives them all their energy and it is given back when they die. They are known to meditate in nature and try to connect to the earth in that way.

This particular race is very good at swimming and has the ability to breath under the water.
