Batfolk Names

Batfolk language generaly includes the short high pitched sylables that they enjoy, Names are no exeption.

A batfolk of either gender may have one of these short namesor something similar: Nix, Zees, Kiel, ziex, or sheek.

Batfolk BACKGROUNDS

Backgrounds that are most appropriate for Batfolk include the outlander, the Sailor, and the Urchin.

The Batfolk are a race that live in anyplace that they can find shelter. They can often be found in caves and underground passages they find thier way into. They also sometimes find themselves on a ship, having slept throuth the departure. They are usualy in large groups.

Batfolk Traits

As a batfolk, you have certain traits in common with your people. Being able to fly at high speed starting at 1st level is exceptionally effective in certain circumstances and exceedingly dangerous in others. As a result, playing a batfolk requires special consideration by your DM.

Echolocation

The BatFolk can use echolocation to perceive its surroundings. The batfolk has blindsight to a radius of 60 feet. This requires that they can speak and hear. This vision has no colour.

Keen Hearing

The Batfolk has advantage on perception checks involving hearing.

Sensitive Hearing

The batfolk is sensitive to loud noises. Batfolk takes double damage from thunder damage, have disadvantage on saves to avoid being deafened by noise, and any noise that deafens them causes them to be deafened for twice as long.

Climbing

Batfolk have a climb speed of 5 feet and can hang upsidedown from surfaces

Sunlight Sensitivity

Disadvantage on Perception checks and attack rolls relying on sight while in bright light.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.

Age

Batfolk reach maturity by age 10. Batfolk don’t usually live longer than 80 years.

Size

Batfolk are about 2-3 feet tall. They have thin, lightweight, fuzzy bodies that weigh between 20 and 50 pounds. Your size is small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 20 feet.

Flight

You have a flying speed of 50 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.

Talons

You are proficient with your unarmed strikes, which deal 1d4 slashing damage on a hit.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Undercommon, and Sylvan.
