Homebrew Bullywug Species Details

Bullywug is a custom race made for the Sunken City campaign. Decended from a tribe of Bullywug that made a deal with the river loa Lespri in an effort to pursue the Grung who had made a deal before them to chase the lizardfolk who had made a deal even before that. Lespri always willing to make a deal gave these Bullywug what she had given the others, the ability to live underwater with the stipulation that they could not again step foot on land. So the Bullywug chased the Grung who were chasing the Lizardfolk and all three races arrived at Vistrilyn, the city below the waves. Once there the Bullywug were forced to adapt to the society which included no longer being able to eat people.

Age

Bullywug reach maturity around the age of 12. They live roughly as long as humans, living up to about 80 years.

Bullywug were bred for war. Savage and Tribal Cannibals they tend to be a Neutral alignment with many Bullywug leaning towards evil.

Size

Bullywug range from 4 to 7 feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Bullywug have a base land and swim speed of 30ft

You can speak, read, and write Common and Bullywug.

Speak with Frogs and Toads

The bullywug can communicate simple concepts to frogs and toads when it speaks in Bullywug.

Bullywugs have advantage on stealth checks when in swamps, forest and jungles, bogs, marshes, etc.

Swamp Camouflage

The bullywug has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in swampy terrain.

The bullywug’s long jump is up to 20 feet and its high jump is up to 10 feet, with or without a running start.
