Homebrew Worgin Species Details

Physical Description

The fur of the wogin ranges from that of the wolf to that of the fox. They stand anywhere from 5 to 7 feet tall and weigh anywhere from 200 to 250 lb. They have sharp claws and teeth like that of a canine. The eyes of the wogin typically look like that of a wolf but their are variations. History

The exact origin are not certain even by the worgin them selves, nor is the length of their existence, it is thought they have existed for at least 300 years. Rumors say that, log ago, there was a community of humans and elves attempted to harness transformation magics for their own purposes. In their efforts to distill down the moon's effects into a profitable concoction, they offended a lunar deity. For this, all of the villagers were cursed to forever be transformed into the ghastly wolf like creatures they are know.

Society

Rejected by most other races, and often accused of being a bad omen, they will form small insular tribes or villages, with a hierarchy resembling a hunting pack of wolves. Despite their stigma, they are not too dissimilar from their ancestors. They have a variety of alignment, like humans and elves, though that most societies rejection often sways them from good. Their attitudes are often similar to the wolf; they are fiercely loyal, slow to forgive, and very territorial.
