Homebrew Zalarian Species Details
Zalarians are a unknown beast tribe found only in the deepest parts of their climates. Many of their races stem from their animal counterparts. Creatures such as wolves, rabbits, dogs, cats, raccoons... All of these animals are a factor in this larger form of a humanoid creature.
Barterers of Nature
Zalarians are known for their touch with nature. They are used to farming, cultivating, foraging, and creating things that relate to their own climate. If per chance a wanderer stumbled upon their home with goods they don't have access to, they may barter for them, exchanging their knowledge, resources and such to obtain them.
Natural Preservers
Zalarians are closely tied to their roots. Any harm to their land is seen to harm to them. They are truly in favor of nature and all that it has to offer. They can easily turn hostile on anyone that has no respect for their way of living.
Reclusive Tribe
Zalarians do not travel much, as the outside world is seen as dangerous to them. But some may have the curiosity and drive to venture out and find what lies ahead. They may be awkward in doing so or excitable. The infinite possibilities or dangers are always on their mind when it comes to the outside world.

A Zalarian might have motivations and quirks much different from a dwarf or an elf with a similar background. You can use the following tables to customize your character in addition to the trait, ideal, bond, and flaw from your background.
