Homebrew Beholder Species Details
A Beholder's spherical body levitates at all times, and its great bulging eye sits above the wide toothy maw while the smaller eyestalks that crown its body twist and turn to keep its foes in sight. When a Beholder sleeps, it closes its large eye but keeps its smaller eyes open and aware.
Likely Classes
Beholders are more likely to take a part in a magical class but some have evolved enough to be able to use a weapon.

Posted Feb 6, 2020Can you still do spells like flesh to stone or finger of death or is that only for the monster version?

Posted Jul 26, 2021This race misses a walking/flying etc. speed, the expected height and weight, and Alignment.
The ability score increases are too broken, it should ideally be +2/+1 or +1/+1/+1.
What Eye Ray does a player start with? Do they get to choose which one? And how many uses do they have per long rest? Is the outcome of an Eye Ray determined randomly or does the player/DM etc. get to chose? Also, Desintegration Ray on a Level 3 character without expending a spell slot is absolutely OP, there'd need to be a limit to the damage as well as on the time the effects last.
Aside from an Antimagic Cone on a character being a massive hindrance for your party's magic users (including yourself), you would end up with a larger Antimagic Cone than the beholder itself has with 160 ft. at level 19 and 170 ft. at level 20.
