Homebrew Awakened Ooze Species Details
An awakened Ooze is frightening to many people as a dangerous and previously dimwitted/animalistic Ooze is now as intelligent as them and could digest anything or anyone it wanted. It is unnerving to many people how the Ooze can morph into a humanoid form yet they can see through said form and see anything the awakened Ooze might of ate. Some people are even afraid to touch them as they know oozes are usually acidic. However in the case of awakened oozes what people don't realise is that only inside is acidic and the outer membrane/surface is safe to touch. Very few of them exist as not many wish or have a need to awaken an Ooze. One might be created so there creator can have the Ooze clean their house but not be at risk of being eaten by it. After all there non awakened brethren are great at cleaning sewers. Another reason one might be created is to guide people around it's natural habitat.

When it comes to the age an ooze can reach no one is really certain as no one has bothered to study them that much. All we know is that they are very long lived. It might be possible that they only die because of illness or wounds taken.
Size
As an awakened ooze you can change your shape but you always have the same volume as a medium creature would take up. As such many oozes choose to take a humanoid form that is of average height for whatever area they grew up in. Your size if medium.
Ability Score Increase
Your constitution score increases by 2 and your strength score increases by 1.
Walking Speed
Your walking speed is 20 feet.
Senses
Due to the awaken spell you have gained senses similar to a humans. Meaning you taste things as you dissolve them and you can discern speech. You have also lost your blindsight in favour of seeing like a human even though you don't have eyes.
Acidic Nature
Due to the fact that your own body is made out of an gooey acid you have resistance to acid damage. Also if you grapple a creature you can start engulfing it and deal 1d6 + your constitution modifier of acid damage to it at the end of the grappled creatures turn.
Non Solid Form
Since you have no bones or internal organs and can reshape your body at will you can fit through small spaces. As long as the gap you are trying to fit through is at least one by one inch.
Waste Disposal
Since your an ooze you can digest any organic material though with your new sense of taste it might not be palatable. Dissolving 2 pounds of any organic material within you will count as having eaten one whole ration. On a side note some non-organic materials might take longer to dissolve and some materials might be immune to being digested by you. Magical items are immune to be dissolved within you your body.
Acid Blood
Since everything inside you is made of an acidic goo you gain resistance to acid damage. The reason that acid damage can still hurt you is that any acid used against you will not be of the same even if it comes from another awakened ooze. (Think of it as getting the wrong blood type during a blood transfusion).
Languages
You can speak, read and write one language that the person who awakened you knew.
Minimum Intelligence
Due to the nature of the awaken spell you must have an intelligence score ten or greater unless you have a good reason it should be lower.
