Homebrew Davi Species Details

A cross between a tiefling and an elf, Davi are often shunned in the world. They are seen as abominations, being crossed between something usually so good and something so evil. However, often times Davi are misunderstood, being mostly good creatures despite their constant abuse in society. They take on many abilities from elves and tieflings alike. Davi mature at about the same rate as humans, but live as long as elves. When they reach the age of twenty, their aging slows to almost a stop. Their names are often derived from elvish names, tiefling names, or a combination of the two. They may choose to take an adult name when they reach maturity, as their elven ancestors do, but aren't expected to.

Davi Traits

Because of their heritage, Davi share many of the same traits as their elf and tiefling parents.

Ability Score Increases

Your Dexterity and Charisma both increase by 2, and your intelligence increases by 1.

Darkvision

Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Hellish Resistance

You have resistance to fire damage.

Keen Senses

You have proficiency in the Perception skill.

Fey Ancestry

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Infernal Legacy

You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

You can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and Infernal.
