Homebrew Time Lord Species Details

Time Lords are one of the oldest races in the universe. They know how the world came to be. The Time Lords have been in wars where they fought for time itself. Maybe you were a shepherds son, the Lord President, or a soldier on Gallifrey. Who ever you were you left Gallifrey for a reason. Some of these reasons may be banished, you were afraid of dying in the third Time War, you were bored, you wanted to see the universe, or maybe you wanted to see and meet a different culture. After the third Time War Gallifrey was destroyed and you can never go back, unless if Gallifrey was some how came back. But now you have the adventures life you may be looking for a way to bring back Gallifrey, trying to keep the world you now inhabit from the same fate as yours, or you just want to go adventuring. Discuss these things with your DM.

Time Lord Traits

Live a long living human looking person, from a different planet, a person thats exceptionally hard to kill.

Two Hearts

Time Lords have two hearts, increasing their blood flow and making them harder to kill. But making them quick to anger. You have advantage on death saving throws.

Regeneration

When a Time Lord fails all their death saving throws, they may begin a process called regeneration. A radiant energy erupts from their body as they regenerate into a new form. The process takes one minute. During this time the player has to reassign their ability scores except two if the player chooses to, re-roll their height and weight. You re-choose your class, while you retain your character level. If you have any feats you can re-choose if the player chooses, or take on ability score improvements as normal. Lastly you have to change your personality trait look at the bottom for the personalities. At the end of this process, creatures within 30ft of you take 3d10 radiant damage. In addition, after you regenerate you are treated as having been revived under the Resurrection spell. For the next 15 hours after regenerating you are also treated under the Regenerate spell. However, for those 15 hours if any spell except the Regenerate spell are cast on the Time Lord their duration is halved, and you have 1d4 levels of exhaustion. You may only regenerate yourself 12 times, unless you receive more regeneration cycles from the High Council of Gallifrey.
