Homebrew Blood Tinged Beast Species Details

When Death is at your door or madness ensues a man's mind terrible things can happen. Beasts can be made by these actions to create death or life to fix or break. Theses are all that begins with these creatures,they are born through death and are reborn from the empty body as they morph this shell into there own. These creatures are horrid and can become wrathful. The often personality of these creatures are calm yet menacing in a sane state many go mad quickly but the ones that stay sane are timid. These creatures are often shunned or feared by others and often hide there gruesome appearance. They are also known to bond with certain companions and create psychic connections.

Monstrous Appearance

They commonly have a tall stature of 7 to 9 feet. They have patches of fur and flesh with tinges of dark red. Many differ in the way they look commonly the heads will be more animal like with bony pieces sticking out of its head or torso/back. Some have deformations with non-proportional appendages, all do seem to include a claw on one of there arm appendages. Most cannot wear armor but many wear cloaks to hide their appearances.

Accursed Beasts

Often many of these creatures have gone mad or bloodthirsty as such the race is treated as accursed monsters. Many of the one who still retain a functioning state of mind are often hiding in forest,caves,etc or on the move. As well many them have gruesome feeding habits of mass carnage they tend to stay away from people. These traits of these beasts often make them highly seek able in the underworld. 

Shunned by others

Their scary appearance leaves other races uncomfortable at best with Blood tinged Beasts.  Blood tinged Beasts who spend coin in a settlement are welcome for a time, but when an accident or crime happens in town, they are the first blamed.  Adventurers of other races tend to overlook Blood tinged Beasts monstrous appearances and timid and wrathful behavior since they’ve seen worse and know the physical abilities and psychic connections they have.

 The age can range from anywhere between only several years old to hundreds, the shortest life span was 55 years.

Darkvision

Red eyes flash, oh the horror that lurks, I would be safe only if I could see. You can see dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in Darkness, only shades of gray.

Natural Armor

Oh if only I could wear such glorious plating. 10+Dexterity Modifier+natural armor bonus.

Frenzied Claws

Only rage may heal you. In battle, you can throw yourself into a vicious clawing frenzy. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your claw. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points (minimum of 1) equal to your Dexterity modifier, and you can't use this trait again until you finish a short or long rest.

Aggressive

A fierce creature in battle

You are quick to initiate combat, and you tend to press the attack once battle is joined. Your enthusiasm makes you a dangerous foe, but you sometimes leave yourself open to blows that a more cautious warrior would avoid.

You take a -2 in saving throws

Timid

You gain a +1 bonus on intimidation checks

You take a -3 penalty on diplomacy checks

Hollowed Life

Sleep for you will be revived.

You regenerate to max hp after a long rest but all healing potions only heal 1 hp

Hardened skin

Skin rough as leather.

+2 in all natural armor
