Homebrew Clag Species Details

Clag's are small creature's with traits similar to frogs. Normally ranging from the colors of a dark red, cyan, navy blue, black and on rare occasions pink or white. Clag's are very sociable creatures even though they do not speak with sound they use telepathy to speak to those around them. Normally these creatures can be found in swamp like areas or deep forests. They normally travel in groups of around 4 to 6 known as their family. Clag's will on occasion abandon a new born from the family and put them in a frightful situation from the moment they are hatched. this begins their transformation into a Clag Shrive. Clag Shrives also known simply as Shrives. This transformation begins when a Clag is not born with or around another creature forcing their body to grow armor plating with three new spikes emerging from their back as well their eyes to becoming milky white. One of the members of the family will then retrieve the lost child of the family and share with them their deepest fear to form a bond, but this doesn't come with out consequences. If the family member were ever run into this fear of theirs with the child around the once milky white eyes of the Shrive will be come void black, the spike on its back will enlarge and emit a poisonous gas, and the armor plating will engulf the shrives arms, legs and a portion of the head. This will then put the shrive into a frenzied state for about 10 minutes before passing out for about 20 minutes from exhaustion.
