Homebrew Aetherborn Species Details
Aetherborns, derived from human bloodlines infected with the dark magic plague, still look human. They are branded from birth if Aetherborn blood is within their family. Their forearms bare the mark of an insignia to tell them apart from other humans. Since they are still more, or really less, human their appearance is still that of human. With their penchant for migration and conquest, humans are more physically diverse than other common races. There is no typical human. An individual can stand from 5 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds. Human skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colors from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight); males might sport facial hair that is sparse or thick. Humans reach adulthood in their late teens and rarely live even a single century, but Aetherborns age slower than the average human. Not a drastic change, for example they will look about 5-10 years younger than their actual age. They live to about 120 years old.

Aetherborns don't have a particular alignment. After the war, humans are widely discriminated against, Aetherborns get slightly better treatment. Most Aetherborns work for royal families in the realm or the city for protection. So some lean toward the gentler aspects of the chaos, but most are just neutral in standing.

Accustomed to the dark magics within your blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Bardgari are Aetherborns with adept abilities in fighting and have heightened senses. Bardgari are mostly protectors and knights in society. Having heighten senses they are alarmingly good with acrobatics and knowing their surroundings.

Tremblesense
Bardgari’s heightened senses give them the ability to sense those in a 60 ft radius. This also allows a plus 1 to either skill of Perception or Acrobatics.
Skapari
Skapari are a type of Aetherborn that are special in their talents with creation and sorcery. Many Skapari with these traits are adept in making potions giving life to plants and creations not made of flesh. They are also adept in spell craft and have a deep understanding of knowledge in the arcana. The Aetherborn’s that have Skapari traits are mostly in positions of healing or herbalism. Others take part in technological advancements

At 5th level you get the ability to heal your comrades with the magic within you. Acting as the Heal spell.
Skuggi
Skuggi are a variant of Aetherborn. Known for their darker side, Skuggi can use the shadows to their advantage. They work well in the underbelly and as spies for the government. Seeing as they can shadow walk and change their appearance. You never know where they are or who they are.

What We Do In The Shadows
When reaching 5th Level you gain the ability to tap into those dark gifts you have through your blood ties as an Aetherborn. In darkness you can teleport from one dim area/shadowed area to another dim area/shadowed area. Can use up to 3 times a day. Replenishes after a Long Rest Use wisely.

DESCRIPTION
To use this spell you must be in a dim/shadowed area and the place you are teleporting to must be within your sight. You can take one medium creature with you as a touch to shadow walk to another dim/shadowed area. The target must make a saving throw if they do not want to go with. If you would arrive in a place already occupied by an object or a creature, you and any creature traveling with you each take 4d6 force damage, and the spell fails to teleport you.
Misleading Identity
At 3rd level you can use the spell Disguise Self 2 times a day.
