Homebrew Dire Elf Species Details

The result of orc and elf parents, it is a rare occurrence for dire elves to be born. It is usually thought that such offspring is not possible, and yet a handful have been found in the world. Unlike orc and elven offspring with humans, the dire elves are almost never accepted by either society. Due to their appearance, most hold dire elves with a level of contempt previously reserved only for tieflings.

Dire elves have extremely muscular yet slender frames, and usually stand around 6 to 7 feet tall. Their ears are short, but sharply pointed, and they often have dark smooth hair. Their skin tones range from a light but dull green to a pale almost white color. They have no facial or body hair. They have small but noticible tusks jutting out from their lower jaw.

Most Dire Elves are shunned from both Elven and Orc society, and must make homes for themselves elsewhere. The few known Dire Elves have been seen in the company of tieflings, goblins, and other low standing races.

Dire Elves are better able to manage their raging orc blood than their half-orc brethren, believed to be well tempered by their eleven heritage. This allows them to be more patient and strategic, while still ready to release their savage tendencies when necessary.
