Homebrew Daemontar Species Details
From a distance, many would confuse a Daemontar for a larger than average Tiefling. Upon closer inspection, however, their caution turns to dread, for a Daemontar in the flesh is both a rare and terrifying experience. They share the horns and the general appearance of their infernal cousins, but the similarities end there. Where a Tiefling is born naturally, a Daemontar is created, infused with the power of the Arch-Daemon through terrible or tragic means. Hulking beasts with steely muscles, a Daemontar is capable of death and destruction before you even consider their arcane powers.

Devilsight
Your eyes glow with the untamed power of Avernus, granting you Devilsight. You can see in dim light and darkness within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in magical darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in magical darkness, only shades of gray.

Might of the Arch-Daemon
A Daemontar's skin is like a sheet of scaled metal and their muscles swell to gigantic proportions, thanks to their dark predecessor. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Pactbound Juggernaut
Your transformation has granted you incredible power, but it is not without incredible cost and in service to another. You are soul bound to a master, mortal or otherwise, and any act done against their will can cause you harm. Upon creation of your character, roll a D4 to select what the purpose of your creation is, and what kind of demon is bound to you. Alternatively, you can choose one of the options yourself.
1. Pain - You are an entity made to cause suffering, it is your purpose to dish it out wherever possible and through whatever means. Any moment of mercy is in violation of your pact. You take 1d6 Psychic damage every time you attempt to heal another creature.
2. Despair - Hope must be taken from those who resist the will of your master, choke the life from it at any opportunity, or suffer the consequences. Any time you use a spell or ability that improves the dice roll/modifier/ability score or gives advantage to another creature, you suffer the opposite effect (for example, if you add 1d4 to another creature's roll, your next roll will take away 1d4 from the result).
3. Death - You are an avatar of death, an infernal killer whose hands must always drip with blood. Sparing lives is an affront to your master and will be punished. Any time combat ends and any enemy creature is left alive, or you did not lower an enemy creature's HP to 0 with an attack or ability, you have disadvantage on your attack rolls until you lower an enemy creature's HP to 0.
4. Chaos - Peace can never be allowed to take root, you must incite conflict to keep our foes divided. Collusion of any kind will not be tolerated. Allies are treated as enemies when determining targets for a spell or ability's area of effect, and all enemies within range must be selected as a target when possible.
