Homebrew Butterfly fairy Species Details
Fairies rarely reach over 1 foot tall, and their wings come in many designs and patterns, ranging from butterfly to beetle. They often look like tiny elves, with pointed ears and ranging skin tones. They carry the normal array of human skin tones as well as light shades of the rest of the spectrum of colors, coming from light shades of red to copper and bronze. They can even carry small attributes of the insect family they hail from, including antennae, fluff, and the wing styles. Their eyes often look like a molten liquid but the pupils can be visible if you can ever get a close enough look. They love vibrantly colored clothes or shiny metal armor, something that speaks about their personality on a level that other pixies and some people can understand.
Butterfly fairy Traits
As a fairy, you have certain traits in common with your people. Being able to fly at high speed starting at 1st level is exceptionally effective in certain circumstances and exceedingly dangerous in others. As a result, playing a fairy requires special consideration by your DM.Darkvision
You're accustomed to living in forests and in undergrowths with dim or darker lighting. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Age
It's unknown how long a fairy actually lives, however, it's speculated they reach maturity at the same time as a human child and can live to be an average of at least 150 years old.
Alignment
Fairies can be of any alignment but tend to lean more towards chaotic because of their playful trickster nature.
