Homebrew Cyclops Species Details
Culture
Cyclops are ocean dwelling giant folk. They have a very similar build to goliaths, but with some differences, not least of which is the single large eye set in the center of their forehead. Their skin can range from pale blue to deep red, tan to dark grey. These people are incredible strong and durable, often living in close proximity to volcanos beneath the waves. The houses of the Cyclops can range from burrows in the ocean sand to great stone houses. While there are few outsiders who have seen the dwelling of these ocean giants since they often live in the deepest parts of the ocean, Cyclops occasionally come up and mingle with the surface folk.
Family
Cyclops live in large tribes at the bottom of the oceans. They live in family units that consist of two adults and usually one child. The adults are often male and female, but male-male households or female female housolds do exist. If there are heterosexual households they will either not have children or find another child that has been abandoned. Sometimes, if a couple does not have a child of their own, they will take care of another sea creature and raise it as their child

You can speak, read, and write Common and speak Cyclese. Cyclese consists of low pitch, drawn out groans and guttural sounds. It is incredibly loud and uncomfortable to listen to above water, but beneath the surface of the water is considered by some to be melodic. It has been described as a higher pitch equivalent to a whale call. There is no written form of this language, so common writing is sometimes used when necessary
