Homebrew Crag Species Details
After the first blight of Osteria the primordial gods that remained fled to the northwestern corner of the continent, creating the primordial forest to shelter them and their creations. The primordial gods also created the cragors 30 foot tall stone golems held together by their arcane soul, giving them magical ability. The Cragors are the ancient guardians of the primordial forests and their spawn, the crags travel the rest of Osteria acting as guardians for nature everywhere. Crags are born when a Cragor removes one of its stones, charges it with arcane energy and plants it in the earth. This forms a new, youthful arcane soul that constructs a small stone and earth body around it and becomes a cragling. After about 100 years the arcane soul matures enough to build a larger body and leave their native forest in search of a new one and is now a Crag. Crags are made up entirely of large chunks of stone held together by a bright blue magical binding. They stand about 8-9 ft. tall with rounded simple features and bright blue glowing eyes. Grags have an innate love for nature and generally follow a lawful good moral code. Crags will roam the wilderness for up to 1,000 years before returning to the primordial forest to take their place as a Cragor, protector of the gods.
