Homebrew Alterian Species Details
Their home world, Alteria, was affected by the discovery of Fractal Mirrors, which introduced them to other dimensions and vice versa. They migrated to other worlds along with the creatures native to Alteria, all the while other races and creatures migrated to Alteria. Alterians are a strong, courageous, and loyal people who live by their own rules that would depend on what part of Alteria they are from. The northern and southern poles are where frost giants rule, and the Alterians that live there are more ruthless and more than often evil. The mainlands and Vector lands are home to the more neutral and passive types. The Terravox and Snillec islands are home to the good, proud, and more lawful of the Alterians, for they guard the most precious metal on Alteria, Illunaminite. When in its liquid form, Illunaminite changes colors with the phases of Alteria’s two moons, Terralu and Vokkenteaux. Once the metal cools, it retains the color it has forever, and some of the Alterian blacksmiths use a method of forging their weapons, armor, and other items using the Aziviyell Pyramountain’s volcanic activity to heat and shape the metal, then they take the water from the Terralu spring, which is -606 Kelvin, and cooling the metal with it. This process causes the metal to be permanently frozen, and near indestructible, if done correctly. For the rest of Alteria, they live, work, and thrive just like any other civilization, and their characteristics are based on all sorts of things just the same.
