Homebrew Zombie human Species Details

Undead humans who retain a consciousness of their own. These undeads have unimaginable amounts of potential, but they pay a steep price for that power.

They are more durable than their former living selves, and possess the benefits, and disadvantages, of any undead lifeform.

Looks and behave like normal humans, though a persistent feeding of the blood, flesh, or organs of living humans is required to sustain the undead's human form. Although gifted with the ability to feed on anything, the undead can choose to feed on anything it pleases.

This type of undead can be created through any means of creating normal undead, and the process of mutation is decided by chance, and by the will of the undead. A strong magic is required, which would react with the will of the undead, causing normal undead to gain their own consciousness and mutate.

Note: Any lifeform has the potential to achieve this type of undeath. Other undead species and races possess similar traits with this type of undead human.

Zombie human Traits

Undead humans with seemingly unlimited potential.

Enhanced endurance

Being an undead, the undead can live past mortal wounds and ignore pains that would usually slow or debilitate living beings. It can, however, be harmed, stopped, and killed by anti-undead measures or simply through overwhelming damage.

An easy way to kill this undead is to find and destroy it's energy source, its undead heart. Damage to the undead heart also causes extra damage.

Omnivorous

For the undead, what it eats affect its survivability. A happy meal increases its lifespan, mainly by allowing it to maintain a healthy mindset. What constitutes a happy meal might differ between individuals.

Ultimately, the undead needs to feed on a living member of its species to maintain its life.

Constant decay

The undead's mind and body will constantly decay. The decay can be slowed by a healthy mindset, mainly by having a fulfilling life.

To prevent decay, the undead has to feed on a living member of its species.

Mutation

By feeding on the living members of it species, the undead eventually gains enough energy to grow and become stronger and faster. The potential of its mutation is limitless, with the only limitations being the undead's imagination and a lack of feeding.
