Homebrew Vultari Species Details

Sometimes mistaken for humans, sometimes mistaken for vampires, the Vultari have the same sense of panache that their vampiric pseudocousins are well known for, as well as the same taste for blood.  It is rumored that they were once vampires who gave up their ways of preying on humanoids and now rely only on animal blood as well as the typical omnivorous human diet, attempting to renounce the ways of the vampires.  Each of them has vivid red or orange eyes, and skin that sparkles in the sunlight like a million tiny mirrors, and an unearthly beauty that doesn't always match their facial structure, with even the gnarliest of facial structures still eliciting a comment that they are somehow still very attractive.  However, they have none of the transformative abilities that mark vampirism, as well as none of the weaknesses to light, running water, or certain foods.

Your Charisma is increased by 2, and your Strength is increased by 1.

Blood Renewal

Once per short rest, you may consume the blood of a defeated enemy instead of expending a Hit Die to regain the amount of health that is equal to your Hit Die roll.
