Homebrew Crystal Humanoid Species Details

Shardminds are crystalline creatures consisting of hundreds of small shards of translucent green, white, red, or amber crystal assembled into humanoid form and animated by a force of pure psionic energy.

Whether united under the leadership of a mighty warlock or having fought to a standstill after years of conflict, crystal and other tribes sometimes form alliances, joining forces into a larger horde to the terror of civilized lands nearby. When these alliances are sealed by marriages, half-crystals are born.

Jagged and Strong

Crystals stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and usually weigh between 180 and 250 pounds.

Tribes and Slums

Crystals most often live amongst themselves. Of the other races, humans and LizardFolk are most likely to accept crystals, and almost always live in human lands when not living among crystal tribes. Whether proving themselves among rough barbarian tribes or scrabbling to survive in the slums of larger cities, crystals get by on their physical might, their endurance, and the sheer determination they inherit from their crystal ancestry.
