Homebrew Dragon Blood Outcasts Species Details
History
Dragon blood outcasts are the descendants of the Ancient Dragons, the first Dragons to ever exist. They're a very isolated society and almost seem tribal with how close-knit the civilization is.
Society
Dragon blood outcasts value honor and strength above all else. In a Dragon Blood society, you must carry your weight, lest you be sent out to the wastelands on your own with only the clothes on your hide. The most respected of the Dragon Blood societies are the Ancient Dragon Priests. They are the ones closest to communication with the Ancient Dragons themselves. Below that are Chieftains, male or female, leaders of each group of Outcasts that have proved their worth in every aspect possible to earn the right as Leader of the Dragon Blood.
As for roles in a Dragon Blood society, there are Oracles and Soothsayers, mainly female Dragon blood that are very proficient in Healing, Dream calling, and Spiritual Communication. Then there Craftsman, which can be anything from Blacksmith to Weavers, there are Warriors, Magic users, and even Expert Huntsman & Fisherman.
Those born of Dragon Blood have the ability to see in the dark up to 60ft, along with using multiple breath attacks and increased dmg to unarmed strikes, due to their bodies being covered in Dragon Scales
The Dragon Blood outcasts collectively have a goal as a society: Worship the Ancient Dragons, Keep their blood alive, and to ultimately find and learn the Ancient Dragon Incantations.
Dragon Blood Outcasts Traits
Due to them being hybrids of other races, a Dragon Blood Male can use 2 types of breath attacks, along with an extra attack if using physical melee/ranged attacks, while a Dragon Blood Female can use up to 3 breath attacksDarkvision, Multi-Breath attack, Extra attack(male), Increased Dmg to Unarmed Strikes
Dragon Blood Female can use up to 3 breath attacks, along with using a whole turn to self heal themselves or a party member by rolling a 2d4 for the amount of HP restored. This healing move is called Blood of the Origins, and is gained naturally at lvl 5, and is exclusively for Dragon Blood Females. This move can also only be used twice and can only be restored on long rests (8 hours or more).
Dragon Blood Males can use 2 types of breath attacks, have increased physical and lacerating damage with their unarmed attacks, and can make an extra attack using their bonus action point.
Dragon Blood can see in the dark, having a range of 60ft while using their Darkvision.
Magic/Elemental Proficiency: This is a trait that gives the Dragon Blood special affinities with elemental and magic type attacks to do an additional 2d6 magic/elemental Dmg. If it is a spell that requires a casting time, the Dmg is doubled. If the spell is an elemental type spell (ie, Fireball, frostbite, chain lightning), then it will do 6d6 elemental Dmg, along with the original Dmg for that spell, however for these spells, the INT, WIS, and CHAR Ability Modifiers are completely ignored.
