Homebrew Celerian Species Details

"We were Gods, now we crumble..."

The origin of the Celerians is unclear, but they are known to be beings created by gods linked to the Celerity domain to perform messenger duties between the planes. Celerians possessed dazzling speed and unique characteristics that made them tireless. They did not suffer from illnesses, they did not need to breathe, sleep, eat or drink since they extracted their energy directly from the gods that had created them. For some reason they were abandoned by their creators, what was known as "abandonment" and suddenly they begin to suffer the needs and deterioration of the rest of the mortals. Their speed has decreased, they need to breathe, they get sick and, although they have enormous energy that allows them to move quickly, therefore their energy waste is also enormous, which implies incorporating enormous amounts of food and drink. His physiology, although still very different from a human being, with time tends towards it.

To other creatures, a Celerian seems blindingly fast, vanishing into an indistinct blur as it moves. Only when a Celerian deliberately slows down, can other beings properly see, hear, and comprehend it.
