Homebrew Ceratopsian Species Details
The humanoid saurian race known as the ceratopsians closely resemble the triceratops that inhabit the forests of Chult. Their tribal society seeks to live in unity with nature around them in the jungles. They are often friendly to outsiders and will offer aid where they can. Yet despite their gentle disposition, once roused to anger or to protect their family or homelands, they are capable and stalwart defenders capable of putting down most threats.
Thundering Giants
Ceratopsians tower above most other humanoids, standing over 7 feet tall. They have the heads have great natural crests and horns, and hulking bipedal bodies covered by thick, leathery skin. Each of their hands has four thick digits, and their feet resemble that of their dinosaur kin.
Like that of an triceratops, a Ceratopsian’s Crest is a useful appendage. In addition to providing a keen defense and intimidation, the crest is also can be used to display status among the tribe.
Natural Knowledge
Ceratopsians are traditionally vegetarian by nature, living in harmony with the jungles around them. Their wisdom of plant life is passed down from generation to generation, giving them one of the most extensive knowledge of the hidden treasures that the forest plants can provide.
