Homebrew Christmas Elf Species Details
Some Christmas elves are chosen to apply their skills to activities outside of the day to day Christmas preparations. These elves are trained as part of a special task force to conduct clandestine operations around the world whose missions are in direct support of maintaining Christmas. Operating with full autonomy they answer to no one, not even Santa himself.
Christmas Elf Traits
Native race to the North Pole, Christmas Elves are distant cousins of traditional elves and have honed their particular set of skills through millennia of toy making. Your size is small and your speed is 25ft. You count as a halfling and an elf for the purposes of feats and class restrictions.Christmas Magic
Your innate connection to the magic of Christmas grants you a minor feat of magic that is gained during your adolescent years. Choose one cantrip from any class, this cantrip does not count towards known cantrips from any spellcasting class and it uses the spellcasting stat of your choice.
Ability Score increase
Add 1 to both your constitution and dexterity scores, in addition you may increase one ability score by two or increase two ability scores by 1. An ability score may not be increased by more than two by racial bonuses.
Christmas Training
As a child you were trained in certain skills and tools that are necessary for the operation of the North Pole. Choose one tool proficiency and skill proficiency from the following choices. Tools available are: Carpenter's tools, Cobbler's tools, Cook's utensils, Glassblower's tools, Painter's supplies, Smith's tools, Tinker's tools, Weaver's tools, and Woodcarver's tools. Skills available are: Animal Handling, History, Investigation, Sleight of Hand.
Northern Resilience
Your heritage and life in the extreme weather of the North Pole has made you resilient to the temperature of the arctic. You are immune to extreme cold weather and have resistance to cold damage.
