Homebrew Blood Angel Species Details

Most blood angels do not know their parents but the ones that do are more often than not rejected by them. They are most often born when a tiefling mates with a fallen angel. There are a few who are born of true celestial angels that were seduced but they are extremely rare. When a blood angel is first born they are usually abandoned by both parents, either out of shame or neglect. The ones who are found and raised by others have extensive diversity in upbringing and alignment based on their adoptive parents. When a blood angel comes of age, another blood angel elder shall seek them out, train them and commit them to the trials. Many die during this period but to truly unlock their full powers they must be pushed to their limits. Some choose to ignore the trials and continue their mundane lives. Others seek out help and gain lifelong companions. The truly brave or stupid set out alone to face their inner demons. They either defeat them, or give in to them.

Darkvision

Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Your dexterity and charisma score increase by 1.

Alignment

A blood angels alignment is as widespread as are the creatures who would raise them. They come from all corners of the world and are raised in all manner of ways creating a diversity like no other.

Winged

You have blood red wings that stick out from your back. They make you ill suited for wearing normal armor but grant a flying speed of 50 feet.

Age

Unlike your angelic parent you are mortal and as such can be slain. However, should avoid a fatality you can live upward of 10,000 years.

Speed

You have a base walking speed of 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one language of your choice. This Language should be the language of those who raised you as a child.

Size

Your size is similar to that of your tiefling parent. Your size is medium.
