Homebrew Artificial Human Species Details

Variety

Artificial Humans are as diverse as the race they are based on.

Artificial Human Names:

Artificial Humans are often named for the person they were modeled after, although they are occasionally given names that allude to their nature, such as Pinocchio or Galatea (names of two famous tales of artificial humans) some other common names are Adam, Eve, and other names given to mythical figures that are supposedly the first humans.

Artificial Human Traits

While Artificial humans are diverse, they generally share these traits.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Strength or Constitution score increases by 1. 

Age

Artificial Humans age much slower than naturally born humans, and are often modeled after someone in their prime; as a result, they tend to look like fully grown adults even though they may only be a few years old.

Alignment

Artificial Humans are often modeled after a specific individual and as a result, their alignments vary as greatly as naturally born humans.

Size

Artificial Humans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and in addition, you have a climbing speed of 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Artificial humans typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with or those known by their creator.

Unnatural existence

Due to how they come about, Artificial Humans have a variety of resistances and immunities that natural humans do not.

Poison and Disease Immunity

You are immune to damage from poison and cannot acquire diseases.

Associated tasks

You choose two proficiencies of your choice, they can be skills, tools, or instruments. These are a result of whatever this particular Artificial human was created to accomplish. 

Artificial hardiness

When one has an origin as unnatural as many of this race, they tend to be able to withstand things that would ordinarily kill a natural creature. When dropped to zero hit points but not killed immediately, you can instead drop to one hit point. This feature can only be used once per long rest.
