Homebrew Ashborn Species Details
Created and raised from the dead the Ashborn make out the new population of post-mourning Cyre. They hold none of their old memories, as the magical force of the Mourning cleansed their soul and with it created opportunity for new life to spring.
The first Ashborn were created during the Mourning. They live in cities and towns, similar to their previous lives, with new desires as they evolve. As an Ashborn your world is new to you. You evolve your community. The Mist gives you natural protection and you cannot die within the realms of Cyre, the magic energy around you fuels you and as long as you are within the borders of the Mist you are protected. Outside of the Mist you are vulnerable and cannot be brought back to life once you die. There are few Ashborn that leave behind their secure home to go adventuring - and when they do it is for a good reason: To find knowledge to evolve your community, find material components only found in another part of Eberron, following a secret mission given to you through visions from the Mist.
New traditions and civilisation are on the uprise. You need to decide what role you want to play in the creation of the post-mourning Cyre.
