Homebrew Ancient Kobold Species Details
"What the hell ar-... Are those Kobolds?"
-Some Adventurer before he was swarmed.
“Ancient Kobolds are a cowardly, sadistic race of short vaguely reptilian humanoids that vigorously contest the human and demi-human races for living space and food. They especially dislike gnomes and attack them on sight.
While in their usual posture, they barely clear 3.5 feet in height, however while standing at their full height they can reach 4.5 feet. Ancient Kobolds have furry scaly hides so fine they resemble flesh, their color ranges from dark blond, dirty brown and a rusty black, they tend to have dog-like/rat-like features. They smell of wet fur and stagnant water. Their eyes glow like a dull red spark and they have two small horns ranging from tan to white. Because of the Ancient Kobolds’ fondness for wearing raggedy leather garb of brown and grey, their non-prehensile rat-like tails, and their language (which sounds like small dogs yapping), these fell creatures are often not taken seriously. This is often a fatal mistake, for what they lack in size and strength they make up in ferocity and tenacity.”
Due to these kobold being an ancient variety of regular kobolds, it is extremely unlikely to find a den or lair of one of these creatures, even more so to find one travelling alone.
